Gowerton School has just been informed by the local authority that the plans for the week of 4th January have had to change.

All pupils will now remain at home and will access their timetable via remote learning from Wednesday 6th – Friday 8th January.

Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th January will remain as staff planning days.

From Wednesday 6th staff will provide online learning as of the week 1 timetable. There will be a variety of live lessons and recorded lessons. Please encourage your children to access the work.

Please continue to regularly follow the information on our website and our social media.

Childcare is provided for critical workers from Wednesday 6th January. Please contact us on the school email to book a place if you require.

Message from Helen Morgan-Rees – Interim Director of Education at Swansea Council

All Swansea schools will aim to return to face to face learning from Monday 11 January instead of 6 January. There will be a delay to face to face learning to allow time to consider updated information, expected next week, about Covid-19, including the new variant. All schools will provide online learning from Wednesday 6 January and each school will provide onsite childcare for vulnerable children if needed and critical workerschildren if essential from Wednesday 6 January. The position will be reviewed on 6 January.
